Packer Game!!

Yesterday I experienced my second Packer game ever. It was amazing! I went to one last year and had a blast also, and this game was no let down. I know, the Packers lost... but the game was still a great one to see. I went with my mom and my stepdad, who are both very fun people! We left very early yesterday morning, and the drive down went really fast. We talked and laughed, grabbed some breakfast. As we were nearing Green Bay, I could feel the excitment in the truck. We were all chomping at the bit to get there. The traffic in was not bad at all, and we quickly found a spot near Stadium View. As we scrambled in our extra layers and snow boots, we were all saying: "Let's go! I need a beer!" to one another.
Stadium View is a bar that is about 2 blocks away from the field, and the wide windows allows for the perfect view of Lambeau. The whole place was packed with people drinking beer and bloody marys, and it looked like a green and gold explosion. Everybody was a psyched as we were to be there.
It was 16 degrees during the game. We all staying relatively warm, considering the temperature. And with people packed in all around you, its not too bad. We had a great view of the field too. Everyone around us was cool, and we were all jumping up and down, screaming, and singing with the music.
After the game, we decided to beat the traffic and sit down and eat. We ate at the Brett Favre Steakhouse. It was absolutely delicious! I tried a shrimp cocktail for the first time and loved it! But one thing for sure is that it is not cheap. Although you do get what you pay for in the great food and wonderful service. Our server actually remembered my mom and stepdad from the last time they were there, and that made the experience even more enoyable.
But, our plan kind of backfired. By the time we got on the road, the traffic was backed up as ever, and the snow was flying in sheets of white. It took us 5 hours to get home, but I'm not going to lie, I slept a lot of the way.
Even though the Pack did lose at the very end, the game was still a great one! More than anything, we had a great time together, and it will be a time to never forget!

It's Been a Rough Month

So, in the past month, my boyfriend has been having seizures. This is one of the most terrifying things anyone could ever experience, in my opinion. Oddly, he has been having one a week for the past month. Two have been in his sleep, one has been in class here at TC, and the other was when we were at home. The doctors don't really have any explanation except that he may have epilepsy or just a seizure disorder. Although he was put on medication a week and a half ago, this didn't stop him from having one in his sleep on saturday night. It woke me up, and after seeing the last one he had, I was a little calmer, though really scared. This led us to spend three hours in the emergency room in the middle of the night. I know how it makes me feel, but I can't imagine what he is feeling. He's really bummed about not being able to drive anymore, and hates the fact that there's "something wrong" with him. But, with a few more doctors appointments, hopefully we can get this all figured out. I just know that it is really scary to see someone you love losing control of himself and knowing that you can't do a thing about it.
On a lighter note, I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I ate lots of food and saw some family I haven't seen for a few years, so it was a very enjoyable holiday for me. It was a stressful event for my mom having 20 people in her house, so I tried to help out as much as possible. I am not a cook by any means, but I did some of the prep work and made an awesome sangria from scratch as our holiday cocktail. Everbody had a good time and ate great food, so all in all, I think we were a hit.
As the semester comes to a close, I am reminded that I still have to register for spring classes. I am not sure who my academic advisor is, but I think I have to find out in order to register. But, I am definitely ready for a couple weeks off from school. I need to get back to work full time and get caught up with bills and such. With so much going on, with school and the hospital visits, I got kind of behind. Well, I should get back to working on some homework...
